A REAL FO

I finished the Cross Stitch scarf last night and wove in the ends this morning. All it needs now is some light blocking. I won't get to that for a while because I'm trying to make myself a blocking board. Anyone know where I can a hold of some homasote?

I should, obviously, be casting on for my second sock. But I promised a friend that I would make her some fingerless mitts for her birthday this month. I wasn't too excited to do the wave hand warmers again, so I searched around Ravelry. I know, the world is doing fetching, but I'm nervous about the thumb gusset and trying to get the project done quickly. I finally found this pattern, and I think that's the one I'm going to use!

Happy Knitting!

For the homasotote...go to HomeDepot or Lowes. Or, what kind of home improvement stores are local to you. If you can, have it cut at the store. The edges give off lots of little fibers. You'll want some muslin (or other cheap fabric) to cover those edges--like wrapping a package. (It's always nice when I can use information from my working days =0)

I'd love to know about the blocking board..

I need to repost the Pay it Forward as I had no takers...

I have that book on order and it should be here in a few weeks.

Now to finish a few og those WIP's...

Hope you're feeling better! The fingerless mitts are nice...let us know how those thumbs go! :)
And, keep us updated on your blocking board. I must admit...I have three foam poster boards from Staples, then duck taped to make a folding "book". I just whip it out from behind the dresser, throw a nice clean thick white towel over it, and pin or block with wires the heck out of my project! :) I haven't had the need to use a graphed background for measurements yet, but I think I'll put a cheap checkered fabric on the board if needed. Hey, have fun purchasing a real blocking board! :) WooHoo!
And, thanks for your prayers.
Have a great week,
Kris
