Dishcloth Topic #2

There are many people who ADORE receiving hand-knit or crochet items; but there are just as many who have no appreciation whatever of how much love, work, and time goes into a hand-made item. Share a story of a hand-made gift you gave to someone and how it worked out - good, bad, or ugly!

My very first knitting project was a scarf for my husband. But, I wanted it to be a surprise, and he knew I had taken a knitting class. SO, I actually knit 2 scarves at once. One to work on when DH was home, and his to work on when he wasn't. The other scarf went to a good friend who crochets, and she totally appreciated the effort. My husband was really touched that my first project was really for him, and didn't even mind that it got wrapped up for Christmas with the needles still attached, as I wasn't quite done. I hope to come up with something else to knit for him in the future, since I think my skills are quite improved since then!

Well, I have been wanting to knit my ds a pair of socks, and he is always bucking me on it?! I don't really think he is aware of the time and commitment that goes into a knitting project..DH on the other hand. "LOVES" my knit projects and gifts and always wonders when I will make something else for him!

That is such a nice story. My DH also loves the items I make, so supportive. That is a very nice story.

Well, MY husband is still waiting patiently for his Xmas hat.

I wonder if I could call it an Easter bonnet?

Thanks for stopping by tonight. You are so right about who has control.

I decided a couple of years ago to stop driving my life, and turn over the wheel to someone who actually might have some clue where we were going...

Blessings back at ya'!
