Updates

Apparently, I'm a no picture blogger these days.

Little girl had a GREAT time at school. She loved the craft, and outside time, and felt very independent.

The Chronicles of Yarnia, my dishrag tag team, came in second. It all came down to which box was put in the mailbox first. I confess, I would have preferred the sock yarn, but I'm super proud of our team and am totally content with the final outcome being in the mailperson's hands. :) I can't thank Emily enough for all of her work in making this such a fun annual event.

I have just a few rows of the Oriel Lace Scarf. This weekend did not provide the knitting opportunities I had hoped. I'm really savoring the last few rows - I've had a good time with this knit.

I've finished the body of a second viking hat. This one just needs horns. I'm feeling pretty good about the Christmas knitting right now.

It looks like on Wednesday after school, the little kids and I are going to Buffalo to see my parents. Big boy is going to Maine this weekend with his aunt, so that makes it a little easier for me to leave him here. I thought about taking him out of school, but it doesn't feel like the right thing to do given that we have plenty of other opportunities to go when school is not in session. Unfortunately, my sister-in-law's mother is quite ill, and trip plans may have to change if things get worse. Please keep Kay in your prayers.

I promise, the next post will have some pictures. :)

Happy Knitting!

Congrats on the second place - not a bad showing at all.

I know what you mean about little girl going to school. It is the epitomy of bitter sweet! We spend so much of our lives waiting to parent these little people and then we have to let them go and trust that others will do a good job.
