Dishcloth Topic #3

Wow, I think I have little to say about this topic. At the moment, here is my yarn stash.

I think I've mentioned before, I'm not a stash builder. I almost always buy yarn when I know for what it will be used. I usually have one or two skeins of Lily Sugar 'n Creme around for a small take-a-long anywhere project. This is the skein I have at the moment. I also have a few odds and ends of cotton that aren't big enough for a cloth. I suppose, eventually I'll make one crazy striped cloth. Someone was using dishcloth cotton for baby hats - I guess I could make a crazy striped hat.

The only notions (besides needles, duh!) that I've had to use is stitch markers. I'm curious what other kinds of notions people are using. (What fun tools am I missing out on?)

Last night, DH, Big boy and I got to go to the Sabres/Bruins game courtesy of my Brother-in-law. I'm always surprised how many Sabres fans there seem to be in Boston. The first goal the Sabres scored, I thought they missed because the cheering was so loud. The Sabres won, 4 to 2. Poor hubby - his Boston teams are letting him down this week!

Happy Knitting!

You crack me up!! I laughed out loud at your yarn stash! It's a good idea though--I have a tendency to let myself collect too much, and then I don't know how to get rid of it.

That's it? OMG! I feel like a complete yarn hog. Actually though, good for you, because I have too much and feel really guilty about it. Now that I am on my no wool diet, I really can't buy anything, so it is a good thing because now I am knitting up all my neglected cottons.

And yes, the Two Hour Handbag took less than two hours to knit. So fast and so very cute. I am having a hard time giving it up, even though I knit it as a gift.

I feel like a freak with my yarn stash! How do you do it, how do walk into a store and not want to buy as much yarn as you can carry out of the store?

I do have to say that I don't really buy yarn except for when I have a project to use it up with, but, I think my eyes may think my needles move faster than they do:)
